Beach By the Lake

Beach On The Lake-10

It really shouldn’t amaze me that when we are outdoors and in the nature, I rarely find myself telling them ‘No!’ (‘No, keep your hands to yourself!’ ‘No, you can’t climb that!’ ‘No, stop hitting your brother’s bum!’)

Being outdoors stirs the imagination, brings out the adventurer and gives the space to get mucky, isn’t this the essence of childhood? These are my favorite moments to photograph…no need for direction, cues or any kind of posing!

Here’s a snippet of our littles (and bigs!) on the beach at the lake in Arkansas.

Two (hundred) more than the number of coffees I should have,  0.6 more than the (previous) average number of children in a family, three more boys than I thought I’d have (I pictured myself as a mother of girls) and a gazillion number of lost hours of sleep :-)

I wouldn’t change any of it for the world!

This weekend we welcomed Mattheus into our family! His older brothers are delighted (though apparently 9 months is too long to wait!) Looking forward to taking more newborn photos in the next days but I’ll leave you with this one for now :-)
